Where to get decent fit, skinny jeans for 12 year old dd

I don't really bother much about matters sartorial and am no help to my dd - she by contrast very much gives a damn and I am sorry that I am not much use to her.....

She can't find well fitting skinny jeans. Her age 13 jeans from Gap are long enough but apparently bag a bit around the ankles, behind the knees, around the pelvis and on her bum (I hadn't really noticed) She is chewing my ear off over it! Literally obsessing (sigh)

She is 5ft 3 inches and slim - 24 inch waist. A bit of a long lean pencil with no real curves or shape yet which is probably why it is hard to get well fitting jeans? I've tried her in adult clothes and sometimes a size 6 will do.....but a bit loose

Where can we go to get her decent jeans - any suggestions please? Thanks Smile

Try new look 9-15 range. Skinny DD(11) has a great fitting pair of their acid wash skinnies, albeit they are age 9, but long in the leg.

hmc · 30/01/2015 20:50

Thanks TheAwfulDaughter - I will have a look on their website (just had to google them, until now hadn't previously heard of them Blush )

H&m

Hallamoo · 30/01/2015 20:57

My DD who is 13, and very skinny, has got some slim/skinny well fitting jeans from the teen range at Next - she is notoriously difficult to find jeans skinny enough!

Hallamoo · 30/01/2015 21:00

www.next.co.uk/x552562s4#683787x55

These ones.

18yearstooold · 30/01/2015 21:02

My dd insists on wearing them a size too small because otherwise she says they bag

They don't, they just fit her!

auntpetunia · 30/01/2015 21:06

H&m my dd lives in her skinnies from there and they fit well. forever 21 is her second choice. She's another skinny long thing and the length is great as is the fit on bum and waist

SoonToBeSix · 30/01/2015 21:15

Top shop is the only place that fits my skinny dd they do size four.

fatbottomgirl67 · 30/01/2015 21:22

My dd got some great 24" waist at jack Wills . Not cheap but 3 length legs and really fit and wash well

CocktailQueen · 30/01/2015 21:25

I get jeggings for dd who us 11 and v tall and slim unlike me or the teen section in bhs is really good for stretch skinny jeans.

hmc · 30/01/2015 21:28

Thanks everyone - I must drop in on style and beauty more often!

She sounds just like my DD.

She loved her Topshop Baxters (in the sale coz they were an odd size. Ie tiny) but they're a bit peg-leg now.
(She grows up. Not out.)

I baulk at full price though at her age.

She has some "acceptable" ones from h&m.

willowisp · 30/01/2015 23:27

Asda jeggings & Tesco skinnies !

Cheap but surprisingly nice Grin

nowitsenough · 31/01/2015 00:46

Dd is 13 and slim, no curves yet. Age 13 jeans/jeggings are not long enough but too baggy on the bum. I've bought her a pair of DP Eden jeggings in size 6 and they are an amazing fit. H&M size 6 jeggings are too tight! Definitely worth a try.

Toastandstrawberryjam · 31/01/2015 07:36

River Island girls jeans are the only ones that fit my v skinny 12 year old. They last fantastically well too and aren't too pricey.

Artandco · 31/01/2015 07:44

American eagle. They are in uk but still American sizes so from 00 ( uk 2!) up to uk 18. They also come in short/ regular and long. Go to one of their stores and the assistants can help with style/ fit

hellsbells99 · 31/01/2015 08:00

My DDs love Topshop jeans but they are expensive.

Walkingonsunshine00 · 31/01/2015 08:25

H&M,primark or new look

JiminyCricket · 31/01/2015 08:33

We have had some success with the New Look adult Petite range which are just about perfect length for ny dd similar height and age.

homebythesea · 31/01/2015 09:24

Primark jeans start at a 6, Top Shop Leigh come in petite sizes (they size by waist not 6,8 etc), Next petite start at size 6

vintagenurse · 31/01/2015 12:37

Your DD sounds exactly like my DSD, very skinny and long limbed but no real curves yet. Have a look at primark, they do super skinny jeans in a size 6.
