What's your favourite item of clothing and why?

I'm being interviewed for dissertation research about my "favourite item of clothing" and I'm struggling to pick just one "favourite" garment. I may be overthinking this. What would yours be?

Skinny jeans

Yep. And I took the dog collar thing off the neck. I love it but haven't had chance to wear it much yet.

Happy - it took me years to find a grey one that I liked. Too many of them look like they are made of elephants. Yours looks nice - I have a gorgeous chocolate one from Oasis. It's getting a bit old now but I really like brown leather when it's a bit battered!

I ordered this but returned it immediately - just didn't like it at all in the flesh...

I have several favourites, but the common them among them is the fabric - velvet.
This is the only one that there's an online picture of - I have it in what was supposed to be wine, but is more of a purple colour (still lovely). Can't wear it much, no real need to! but it's SO comfortable and looks lovely on.

Plus I didn't really want the real biker jacket/lapel look...

If I'm allowed shoes it would be some orange and pink suede stylesnob ballerinas - sound revolting but they are beautiful, really comfy and have had loads of compliments.

If not allowed shoes it would be a camel coloured wool maternity swing coat from Isabella Oliver. It's warm, comfy and flattering and suits my shape (apple with broad shoulders and slim legs). It's getting a bit tatty now

My Asics running shoes. Not just because I love how they look and how comfortable they are, also because they make me feel happy whenever I'm wearing them.

Happy - I bought it last summer. They have a similar (and very lovely) one in black now, but not the grey.

Skinny jeans, without a doubt

A beautifully soft grey cashmere jumper from Jigsaw. I bought it last spring reduced from £150 to £90, which is a LOT of money for a jumper. I live in perpetual fear of moths eating my knitwear so I stored it away really carefully over the summer, and broke it out in the Autumn. I have worn it virtually every weekend since October - it is just so soft and warm and delicious, totally worth the money and ultimate proof of 'buy less but buy better'. Totally in love with it.

It may not look much, but it's so incredibly comfy, and because it's kind of mottled it hides lines from bras/vests/whatevs, and it actually is nice and non-elasticated. So perfect.

At the moment, my M&S cashmere onesies. I saw them when they were £199 EACH and then happened upon them in the online sale, £80 buy one, get one half price. I've got a beige one and a fuschia one, I swim every morning so put swimsuit on and a onesie, and a cardi and am out the door. Because they're belted they don't look like nightwear. Apart from that my black Vivienne Westwood dress, and westwood shoes, black with ankle strap and big buckle, love em.

My H&M zebra dress :) . Totally daft and totally me, has black and white pattern plus pictures of zebras on it. Feel like I do anythin when I wear it
