Hi I have recently lost a bit of weight (still loads to go), had a couple of babies and totally lost my way style wise - not that i had much too loose.

I bought some M&S black slim fit velvet jeans, i love them as they stay black and feel so nice, but what to put with them?

I have some nice clarks boots - longer than ankle boots, sort of mid lenght in a greeny, browny sort of colour.

Do i wear my jeans tucked in ( worried will make me look stumpy am 5ft5) or do i fold them up to the top of the boots - as i have seen everyone doing? I would have usually wear them over the boot but that doesnt seem the done thing.

I am blonde, 35, fair skin, size 16, hour glass ish, big boobs and 5ft 5 and clueless!

Any ideas for tops to go with? i have been in a baby bubble for the last 3 yrs and need help! I live sainsburys jeans and tescos stripey tops so have a long way to go!

Can't help, but I'm watching with interest.
I've been putting my slim jeans inside my mid length boots.

JuanPotatoTwo · 30/01/2015 19:01

Are you planning to wear them in the day, or are they evening wear?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/01/2015 19:02

Are they for a night out? I'd go with black heeled ankle boots, with the the jeans cuffed to sit at the top of the boots, and a silky top of some sort.

This is a nice look?

Hi i like that pic. My boots are higher, seems a bit of a funny height, i just feel a bit odd with them on show. I do love the look on other people though. However i do have some lovely suede shoe boots which would look good.

Jeans are for daytime - my style (lack of) is so way off all i EVER wear is dark skinny jeans and stripey tops ( not the best look around a bulgy mummy tummy). I never even wear black jeans.

My DS has just stopped chucking up half of every feed on me so now is the time to address my clothes.

Any and all help appreciated- thanks

I hate to sound shallow but it is really getting me down now, i didnt care when i was adjusting to having babies but enough is enough

How about with your boots and a snugglygrey jumper? Cashmere would be lovely, if you want to splurge here.
Or a plain sweatshirt with a scarf?

Mrsstevejones · 30/01/2015 20:29

Not on a cashmere budget! but first jumper is lovely, thanks

Have you tried Pinterest. I love it for finding looks. Try to look at similar body shapes to your own & what flatters.
