What would you wear to the Connaught Bar in london

...this weekend. With a mum tum, not much confidence and a very small budget.

I went to the Connaught years ago for a business breakfast and it was verrry nice. I've posted this elsewhere on S&B but I would suggest something like this which will hide your mum tum:

Size down as it's quite generous. It's very elegant and you could add a necklace.

You could either wear it with a pencil skirt (even black would work actually - try M&S Autograph range?) opaque tights and heels, or with some some tailored trousers, possibly tapered leg and on the ankle so that they look fabulous with a pair of heels. What shops do you have nearby?

I'd stick with jeans and dress up from there. London is very casual at weekends.

Agree with keeping it casual. The M&S blouse with black skinnies or slim leg trousers/jeans would be perfect. Add heels, and simple jewellery.
