I seem to buy stuff like deodorant and other essentials when on offer however it's not always possible to do the same with my moisturiser. I am going to try and buy another pot of moisturiser when it's bonus time. I sometimes find that I can spend a small fortune especially I I need new foundation too

What do you do?

I tend to stock up on face wipes, deodorant etc.. when they're on offer and I always keep an eye out for Superdrug's better than half price offer on their Naturally Radiant range and then buy two and put one away. With foundations and moisturisers, I tend to buy when I visit the nearest designer outlet where there's a Cosmetics Company that do good discounts on Bobbi Brown, Origins, Clinique, Estee Lauder etc..

I tend to buy most things when they are on offer, things like deodorant, toothpaste etc. I use Superdrug Vitamin E skincare so there are often offers on that, so I stock up when they are on which keeps me going for ages.

I buy when on offer. I found that many items have on offer 'cycle'

I buy when I need. I do try to time my Clinique stuff to when there's a bonus time on but otherwise I have stopped buying just because something is on offer.

There was a thread last year where we were all trying to use up all the stuff we had stockpiled - it was really good and I actually had to buy body lotion and hand cream because i got through it all. I've just been stocked back up on practically everything for Christmas so I'm back to working my way through it and I won't buy until something runs out.

....

In terms of when they are reduced. For example, I used to use superdrugs naturally radiant range and it tended to be reduced every other month for a couple of weeks.

I bulk buy body butters quarterly. I use a lot so I'll wait til the body shop have a half price offer on which is practically always on the website.
Femfresh when its on offer in boots I stock up.
French pharmacy products I buy when either escentual have a 3rd off or when boots do a 3 for 2.
Deodorant and toothpaste as and when I need to replace.

I buy on offer if it's a buy from Boots type of thing and save my Boots points to buy nice Clarins face oil when I need it.

I'm rubbish at this sort of thing. I buy far too much stuff because I want it. I've currently got about 7 foundations and bb creams, 4 mascaras and 5 blushers on the go because I read threads where different ones are recommended and I have to try them!

TeaAddict235 · 25/01/2015 17:37

I tend to buy facial or hair products when they are on offer, but essential items like deodorant as and when needed.

As someone said, lots of products are cyclically on offer as they often have a 'shelf duration life' once they leave the manufacturing line.

Picastyle · 25/01/2015 17:40

I'm with you hippy I buy far too much of far too many things because they might be the next best thing and I have a skincare and foundation FOMO.

I buy shampoo, conditioner, deoderant when I need them.

I buy the shower creme I like in bulk when its on offer.

I buy premium beauty stuff in sales only, usually from feel unique. I spent £120 on nearly £300 worth of stuff in the Jan sales and got hand cream, moisturiser, eye cream, bubble bath, facial oil, body lotion to last for at least six months and by nice brands like Elemis, Origins, Jurlique, Aveda etc.
