Best rosehip oil that doesn't cost a fortune?

Have been reading some old threads about rosehip oil and, being a total sheep who's staring in alarm at an increasingly wrinkly face, want to try some.

Is the Fushi stuff really the best? Can't justify Trilogy until I know I get on with it.

There are dozens of Asian and African shops round here that sell it, is theirs worth trying or does it have to be cold pressed, organic, picked at midnight while harpsichords play etc etc etc?

I use this. find it just as good as fushi but bottke has a dispenser pump - so much more handy. the fushi bottle & opening is a pita.

I used Naissance from Amazon. Also organic and cheap as chips. BUT....I have just this week started using Neals Yard Frankincense oil and am blown away! I love oils and have tried rosehip, argan, evening primrose and Liz Earle's Superskin concentrate but this NY is the best for me. Skin feels plumped and lines round eyes definitely less defined.

Their jojoba oil is great as well, and they do clay powders for home made masks that are pretty lovely too.

Buy from Akoma for now (they are cheap, and do lots of other great stuff as well), then next Autumn, make your own!
Get some nice 'base' oils of your choice (almond is a good all rounder, and you can add some avocado for richness, Vit E - once the oil is cooled-, etc), again from Akoma, who have loads of lovely base oils to choose from.

Go out into the countryside after the first frosts. Collect rosehips from the wild roses growing in the hedgerows.
Pick over all the rosehips, top and tail them and prick all over each one with a pin.
Pour your oils into a slow cooker and add the rosehips, then set on the lowest setting overnight or throughout the day.
Strain your oil and bottle into sterilised bottles. Store in a cool dark place.

I made bottles of the stuff, and add my own essential oils for different scents/purposes. It's lovely, tailored to my skin's needs, and cost a fraction of the price.

You just need to make sure the rosehips are gathered from a clean source, so not next to a road, etc. We are lucky to have old woodlands nearby that are full of wild roses, so easy pickins come Autumn!

Disclaimer to the above post...Rosehip SEED oil is pressed from the actual seeds. The homemade rosehip oil is not made that way, but has the benefits of other oils in it. Still great stuff and lovely to make though!

I went for the Naissance as a starter option, because the reviews were so good - but I have a feeling I'll be spending money at all of those excellent suggestions, thanks!
