Didin't get anything that was such a bargain but they had loads of childrens clothes on sale in my local store yesterday. (I think a lot of the stuff was past seasons rather than current though.)

FIMBOnABroomstick · 18/10/2006 13:23

In store, the on-line sale has finished now. I am going to Scotland next week for half term (no ski holiday required!). I also ventured to Primark and bought long-sleeved stretchy T's for £3.00 each (very Gap in style).

The jacket I got my dd was definately this winters stock - I looked at it when it was full price last week.

Hey don't tell Cod you've been to primark - you won't be able to claim to be a ponce any more!

FIMBOnABroomstick · 18/10/2006 13:26

Was that the £8.00 one? I looked at them also.

No smelly people in mine this morning. It was clean, tidy and surprisingly well stocked. I had to get the bus home though and an old dear came on who stunk to the high heavens of pee.

So what about Matalan ? We've got a new one near us - got a couple of work blouses in there for £10 each - one pure cotton white victoriana style, and a red short puff sleeve chappie with peter Pan collar and a black satin ribbon at waist - quite a lot of tat I wouldn't touch in there - but one or two OK things - just wondered if it was socially acceptable ?

FIMBOnABroomstick · 18/10/2006 13:36

I don't like Matalan personally - but having said that I have been there for years - do they still have that card membership system?

FIMBOnABroomstick · 18/10/2006 13:37

Melanie Sykes advertises their stuff - bad move.

BlueBeetle · 18/10/2006 13:42

Yes they still have cards - no idea why though as they just hand them over at the till - not like a Makro or CostCo thing at all.

Got some good slippers for dd in there for £4 too - she loves them anyway !

They had some lovely crocheted long cardis for dd in there for £25 and to be honest I'd have been hard pressed to tell them apart from the Monsoon £100 ones - but none left in dd's size sadly !

heifer · 18/10/2006 15:55

But Cod, you shopped there... well at least went in the door... so what do you smell off???

You must be right about being a .... by the way... Can't believe that you went to Primark, I was so wrong about you...

curlysmum · 18/10/2006 16:06

I never really seem to get anything in Primark as my DD always used to scream if I even went in the door she just hates it, must be cause of all the other kids always screaming in there, now she just shouts 'NO not that shop Mummy' .

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 19/10/2006 11:01

I have got a few bits and pieces from Primark for the dc in the past, but the t-shirts always seem a tight fit (for girls) and don't wash very well.... The boys stuff is pretty good though!

Their pj's are great though, and last week I got myself two scarves for £2 each!!

It is always very busy in our Primark and very hot, and that does not help with the bo issue...

The thing is, I shop at Primark and Boden, so what does that make me??
