Moving on from the baby change bag to a proper handbag! Help!

So ladies (and gents!) help me find a big roomy handbag to fit a change of clothes for 3 y old, the occasional snack plus handbag staples. I like the look of a Hermes Birkin (but obviously not the price tag). Can anyone recommend the perfect handbag? Am easy on colour and shape but like practicality. If I can fit an ipad in as well I would be happy!

oo I'm not a professional person but i like that bag :) still got some time to go before i swap my changing bag though

Boden Slouchy Leather Bag.

A few reviewers found it too big for a handbag, but it's been perfect for my stuff plus baby stuff (and the odd bit of pre-schooler junk modelling etc).

It won't rock the fashion world but it's nicely made from good leather.

Also not too heavy, so you can load it up without it getting unmanageable.

Will accommodate an iPad, though I tend to carry the Mini because the big one is too heavy.
