how the hell do you get the jeans not to rid up your leg so your knees dont look like there are swollen over the boots and your wearing batwing jodpours.(sp)

wear socks and tuck your jeans in (go on...it's not like anyone can see!)

nailpolish · 18/10/2006 10:26

skinny jeans dont ride up so much

Heathcliffscathy · 18/10/2006 10:29

do origami fold under heel, and/or tuck into socks and also make sure they are skinny.

ScummyMummy · 18/10/2006 10:31

Don't you get blisters on heel from origami folds, soph? Sounds a bit uncomfy to me...

princessmel · 18/10/2006 10:31

The only jeans that look good under boots are skinny jeans. Any other type and they just bunch up and look awful.

bundle · 18/10/2006 10:32

isn't tucking in v last season? (she said, stirring it..)

northerner · 18/10/2006 10:32

Yeah has to be skinny, tucked into socks. Boot cut will not work.

ScummyMummy · 18/10/2006 10:33

Bundle You are awful! Couldn't do tucking in even last season myself. Looked strange and wrong on me.

Heathcliffscathy · 18/10/2006 10:40

absolutely bundle. definitely last season, but given that i'm a mum and not in any way a fashionista i think keeping up with last season (as opposed to five years ago) is pretty good!!!

Heathcliffscathy · 18/10/2006 10:41

mostly because have finally found (two) pairs of skinny jeans that look good on me!!! both topshop. black pair and dark indigo pair. they aren't skin tight but are totally straight and tight enough. and they look good tucked into boots with a (very this season) sweater dress thing over the top.

so neh.

hoxtonchick · 18/10/2006 10:43

am so going home via topshop . what are the jeans called soph?

themoon666 · 18/10/2006 11:09

Yes... share name of topshop jeans.. price? style? everything. I need to be able to locate them as soon as I get in there. My lunch hour is precious don't ya know!!

sorry scum, I suppose I'm just a bit jealous that I could never tuck in (due to risk of over emphasis of already fat arse) and am bootleg girl

Bozza · 18/10/2006 13:30

That is a bit of a risk malory if they have a no-shoe policy.

Pollybloodyanna · 18/10/2006 13:30

I agree sophable, I have bought some skinny jeans from topshop this year and they look really good with boots tucked in and a sweater dress thingie.
Now it just needs to get colder so I can wear them....

I agree pollybloodyanna, I'm also loving skinny jeans and boots but it's too warm to wear them

Only bad thing about skinny's is they're not the best thing to wear when doing nappy changes om the floor. Getting down is ok, getting back up is a bit of a bugger though!

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 18/10/2006 13:38

YOu need some stirrup jeans . What a shame they're sold out!

Lact8HisLiverWithANiceChianti · 18/10/2006 13:41

OMG! Had forgetten about these! I remember when stirrups were so trendy, worn in our area with a big chenille jumper

I also had an all in one catsuit with stirrups (from TopShop) that I wore with huge platform boots....oh dear

hermykne · 18/10/2006 16:31

omg those strippips are just hideous.

princessmel · 18/10/2006 17:34

My skinny jeans are from H and M and are called 'sqin' .
I have another pair from Gap which are just called 'skinny stretch'.
Both are quite tight and look nice with boots or flats.
The only prob I have is that when I'm crawling around at a soft play or changing nappies on floor etc, my knickers flash at the back!!

mumfor1standfinaltime · 18/10/2006 17:40

Lol, there were some of those srirrup jeans on ebay today, cord ones..hmm. They were selling though, think they were upto about £9 last time I looked. I thought 'who the hell would buy them!'
