Has anyone blinged up their own shoes ?

I have som gorgeous shoes from Faith with some crystals/sparkly bits on the toe. The heels ar silver but the dog has chewed the heel so on is all scratched. I tried to spray the heel silver, it doesnt look good.
I need to stick crystals/blinging bits to cover the heels, can I do this myself or will they just fall off and look even worse ?

What glue / stones / embellishments are best? Where sells these other than online please?

My girls have blinged up flip flops with glue and plastic gems. Looked really good but not very durable.

I did my wedding shoes with a mixture of flat backed pearls and crystals. All bought from ebay. Depending how much you want to spend you can get Swarovski crystals or the cheaper ones which are still ok although not of the same quality - although you can tell the difference if held near each other so ideally you need to pick one or the other...

Use gem tac glue (fabulous stuff, use for allsorts around here) from ebay or amazon and you need some kind of tool to pick the crystals up with - a pencil with blue tack on the end will work fine, dot some glue on, pick up a gem, stick on, leave to dry - easy!!

I didn't expect the gems on the bottom of my heels to survive as I was on stones and grass for pics but they did
