7/8 trousers and ?? shoes/socks in winter

I have a lovely pair of black brocade 7/8 length cigarette pants. I bought them to wear over Christmas with black suede pumps with nice front detail.

They fit well and are nicely made and lined, I'd love to get more use from them. I'm going out to dinner twice this week. But don't know how to wear them except for pumps. Today I used black opaque pop socks....but still with pumps.

Unfortunately I can't do heels.
And bearing in mind I'm 66 and 16/18. Don't want to look foolishly young.

I got lovely fine soft leather ankle boots with a 1.5" chubby heel in a grey/taupe colour but they're wrong with black brocade and anyway I could be too old for ankle boots and shorter trousers.

I do have black leather shoes with 2" wedgy thing/ankle strap/flower on front. By would only be able to pose/sit in them.
Anyone think these would work or am I forever in pumps.

I'm thinking that at this time of year do the pumps look out of place although they do work very well.

Patent brogues, something slipper shaped in gold or silver? Pumps are fine but I am not certain about the other shoes you describe. I think the ankle strap would be too much with 7/8 length brocade. Not having bare ankles would bother me, but might sheer oiled nude pop socks be possible? Nearly 60 here so with you on the mutton avoidance, but I wear heels, and would probably wear glam shoe boots.

I wear pumps at this time of year.
Agree with pp that brogues would be a good option. With nude pop socks for warmth.

Pumps are fine. Perhaps not on the coldest days, where a bit of ankle warmth is needed.

Patent brochures sounds good.
Slipper shape might be a bit pump looking....I have so many pumps in various colours.
Yes, I tossed in the option of the ankle strap shoe simply because I have them, and they are rather cute, but not comfy.
I think parent brogue.
Thank you
