Products to "lift" my short choppy hairstyle

Hi I've just had a new hairstyle done and wondered if anyone has any ideas on product to use to lift it up and accentuate the choppy messy look?

There are loads of gums, pastes, mousses, waxes you can use.

For height use a powder..Tresemme do a good one.

I use Aveda products - they have good texturising waxes. Bumble and bumble are also good. If you need s bit of root lift, try Aveda volumising tonic.

I love the volumising powders as they feel a bit like a dry shampoo and don't make my hair greasy. I'm currently using the Batiste one but used to use one called Got 2 B Powderful.

avena i think that is how it is spelt bamboo lift, like back combing but without, plus backcomb at the very roots.

I use Bedhead Matte Separation for men. It's brilliant. I have very fine hair and just use the tiniest bit and it lets me tweak up the ends and get my hair into 'position'. I think one pot is going to last forever.

I use the VO5 Give Me Texture, which is like a powder, but in a spray - I prefer it to the powder ones as it doesn't make my hair feel as sticky. I also use one of the VO5 waxes - in a pink pot, but can't think what it is called.

Bumble and Bumble are in Boots, but they are very expensive. Likewise Aveda.

I have an ancient bottle of Micheal di Cesare Liqifix Liquid Mousse (I didn't like it on my shoulder length bob but on my short hair it's brilliant for when I'm feeling spikey )

I like TIGI superstar queen for a day thickening spray. Gives good lift and what I used when I had a short(ish) choppy hair cut.

I bought the Got2B powder after reading about it on here, but I don't like it. It's like dry shampoo and makes my hair feel greasy and dirty, as does dry shampoo tbh.

I have no recommendations (I am currently using a tiny blue jar of putty stuff, maybe VO5) but place-marking, as I'm looking for ideas.

I second the VO5 range in the pink packaging - it was on 3 for 2 in Boots so I got the Give Me Texture Spray plus mousse and wax (too lazy to go and look what they're called but can later if anyone wants) and they've ally transformed my flat lifeless crop.

Cambridge - I am so terrified they will stop making Give Me Texture that I currently have 4 cans of it, just in case!

It's great isn't it Katie, first thing I've found in years that doesn't make my hair flop or feel too heavy. May have to invest in a few extra cans myself :)
