There is one on the corner of the rd I work in. Never anyone in there

Just walked past on way back from coffee shop and they have this toe-curlingly awful window display with some naff thing saying "wear your rugby shirt with your dinner jacket" and such horridnesses.

Errr, no. Everyone will think you are a twat if you do that.

WHO is this aimed at?

heifer · 17/10/2006 17:13

Would someone please tell mimi1uk why you think bricks and water is funny...

Mimi1UK - I think you meant brinks and MORTAR...

......

CountessDracula · 17/10/2006 17:14

i think she knows

Mimi I am glad it is not you being attacked by the goat, I wouldn't think bricks and water would stand up to him (or chavsticks for that matter lol)

OP posts:
mimi1uk · 17/10/2006 17:20

So this started out as some people thinking Hacket was awful, along the lines of burberry and therefore for chavs, and has now turned into some posters having a pop at mimi, thats not right surely?

If you really need this thread to keep going stick to the subject and less of the having a go. Also those of you that do believe Hacket belongs in chavsville so be it, do you really need to post so passionately about how awful it is and how dreadful the people are that wear it?

Or were your days that boring that this is all you could think of? Seems like mn is no longer the parenting site for support just the site for a good old bitch, much like being back at school, quite sad.

speaking for myself I was just having a LAUGH.. I think it is called BANTER....

I am sure mimi1uk took all this in the spirit it was intended (with ice)....

I have to say that Hacket is not quite what springs to mind when I think CHAV (or Pikey as I still prefer to call it)...

Mind you in the town where I live no one could afford to wear Hacket... but in the nearby Cirencester - Hacket City....

CountessDracula · 17/10/2006 17:39

fgs

can't you have a larf round here any more

I think mimi is great with her chavsticks (I want one!)

AND can I just point out that if you actually READ the OP you will see that I was wondering who this was aimed at. I would hardly have thought that it would end up in a discussion about chavs, given that it was talking about rugby shirts and dinner jackets!

OP posts:
CountessDracula · 17/10/2006 17:42

oh and mimi said she thought it was amusing

OP posts:
heifer · 17/10/2006 17:47

So did I, so can we carry on....

Where can I buy Chavsticks and more to the point what are they..

I have just googled it and still don't understand.. can someone please enlighten me....

Emskilou · 17/10/2006 17:49

Well back to the topic I think rugby shirts and dinner jackets are ok provided Johnny Wilkinson is underneousath them, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm yummy.

Its just that by reading some of the posts in response to mimi I could see them possibly being taken the wrong way and causing offence, perhaps I was wrong.

Anyway back of to my house made of chipsticks much like chavsticks but you can eat these

Apologies once again for turning this into a ruck, if I did?

Emskilou · 17/10/2006 17:50

underneousath is meant to say underneath, ooops [blush}

CountessDracula · 17/10/2006 17:53

it would appear from this blog that a chavstick is a mobile

I can't believe that anyone lives in a house made of them
