Not quite S&S but fancy dress help please!

I've got a party to go to on Saturday night which is 70s/80s themed and I haven't planned anything for me and DH to wear. I will have Saturday morning to shop but don't want to spend loads. I also don't want to so the whole neon tutu and fishnet gloves thing.

DH and I like a bit of rock so I was thinking glam rock or punk rock theme. Can anyone help me with some ideas? I am so disorganised and no good with fancy dress!

Short skirt, plain. Black or tartan, knee high boots, fishnet tights, crimp or backcomb hair, vest top which you could rip. Studded belt and wristbands, OTT black eyeliner, purple lippie, crucifix type necklaces.

I did Madonna in desperately seeking Susan for a similar event - went down well. Do a google image search.
