Your best bath bubbles and body lotion please!

I'm after a nice bubble bath (or at a push, bath soak...but not an oil). Willing to go up to about twenty quid very, very tops, but would prefer cheaper.

Also looking for a nice, rich body lotion. I have the Vaseline aloe one and a Garnier one for everyday use, but would like a really luxurious one for after the bath now and then.

I like the neal's yard ones.

Liberated71 · 14/01/2015 16:04

Soap and Glory or Sanctuary from Boots Smile

MrsMarigold · 14/01/2015 18:13

In terms of cream Vaseline Intensive care the white one rocks and I like Palmolive Milk and Honey - both cheap as chips but lovely

dexter73 · 14/01/2015 18:30

I think the Body Shop body butters are really good. I'm afraid bubble bath is not my thing, I squeeze in a bit of whatever shower gel I am using at the time!

Clueing4looks · 14/01/2015 18:37

I love Champneys Mediterranean fig milk, olive leaf and green tomato bubble heaven. About £12 for a biggish bottle from boots.

Marylou2 · 14/01/2015 19:20

Elemis Rose and Jasmine.Pure Heaven and the most amazing smell.

lavendersun · 14/01/2015 19:24

I like SenSpa as an every day sort of bubble bath and bath salts.

Lovely smells like lavender, bergamot, patchouli and geranium or rose, lavender and cedar wood in the bath salts.

£6 ish a bottle/bag.

lavendersun · 14/01/2015 19:27

Sorry, meant to add that they also do body lotion (£6 ish too), but I haven't tried it yet as I am using a tea tree one from my health food shop at present which is not luxurious but is amazing for sensitive dry skin.

I will move onto the SenSpa one when I have finished the current one.

Chicinwellies · 14/01/2015 21:36

For me it's Laura Mercier all the way and Well worth the pennies. I get lots of compliments on how lovely it smells and that's just from bath and body cream. A little goes a long way and has been perfect even with my sensitive skin.

TeaAddict235 · 14/01/2015 21:55

really like the boots botanicals body butter.

Also like Radox bath creams- the light beige one (can't remember the exact name).

annabanana19 · 14/01/2015 22:35

I love Avon bubble bath. Reminds me of my younger years. And always Aveeno. Free from the GP.

HiawathaDidntBotherTooMuch · 14/01/2015 22:36

Any of the Champneys bubble baths from boots are really lovely. £12 each, but usually on 3 for 2.

pinkfrocks · 14/01/2015 22:37

I can't lie in bath stuff as it irritates my bits.
so it's shower gels only. REN Rose is my fave.

Clinique Body Butter is nice.
Cheapo- Neutrogena is my fave.

poocatcherchampion · 14/01/2015 22:38

Watching with interest.

Current pleasure is one from body shop dh gave me for my birthday. Its red- cranberry maybe - in a tub and has a wooden ice cream spoon to get some out. Its like a jelly.

AddToBasket · 01/02/2015 09:57

Yyyy to Laura Mercier even though they're more expensive.

SuperFlyHigh · 01/02/2015 12:00

I love the champneys ones too and have tried the olive and another one.

The champneys one is great but I almost wish it wasn't in glass bottle (has to be recycled then).

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/02/2015 12:37

None of the 'posh' body creams I've tried are anywhere near as good as Aveeno. Clarins stuff smells lovely, but the Aveeno works better.

I rarely buy expensive bubble baths tbh, as I don't think they are worth the money, but I really like Badedas, which is more expensive than my usual Radox/Simple but much cheaper than REN etc. For really cheap ones, I also think the Waitrose Essentials ones are pretty good.

Waitrose stick an organic range too, which is nice. I think it might be called 'Organic Surge.'

mimiasovitch · 01/02/2015 12:38

I am a huge fan of Champneys body butters. Not at all spendy either.

SuperFlyHigh · 01/02/2015 12:44

remus I forgot yes waitrose do organic surge, I try to get when on offer in waitrose. It's great stuff.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/02/2015 12:51

stock not stick - 'scuse typos.

notnowImreading · 01/02/2015 12:53

Badedas is the best bubble bath. I don't believe that anyone actually uses body lotion.

Notonaschoolnight · 01/02/2015 16:39

Sainsburys mandara spa is lovely and developed by a higher end brand my favorites are the purple and the orange

cookoos · 01/02/2015 16:46

glow lotion from soap and glory. smells lovely and is pearly pink so gives a bit of a shimmer also very easy to rub in so i always use this if i have bath/shower in the morning as body butters can be a bit of an effort when in a rush.

AddToBasket · 02/02/2015 10:24

On the back of a Guardian review I have just ordered the SenSpa bath oil from Waitrose (less than £6). All the SenSpa stuff is on offer at the mo and the Nourishing Bath Soak looked good too (about £4 I think).

Thisishowyoudisappear · 02/02/2015 10:30

Neal's Yard is my fave. It's about £19 I think. Otherwise I usually chuck in a few drops of essential oil and maybe some Epsom salts.

Lush Dream Cream is a lovely body lotion, but I usually use Palmers as it is very good and fantastic value for money. I use the SPF 15 in the summer, the AHA/BHA one to exfoliate, and the plain one on my feet and at night/in the winter. The pure cocoa butter in the tub is also good although not much richer than the plain one, and a bit greasy. I also use the body oil. It feels quite luxurious to me if I later the lotion on top after my bath.
