Help me decide... Are they too wide? Delectable Frye boots in sale

I got them on sale.
I am in love with them. But I have skinny legs. (I know I know I'm sorry, just born that way)
Do they look too baggy on ??
The bit where they come out for a calf... Well I've no calf in there. And I'm worried the ankle looks saggy...

And I've talked myself around and around and around.
(Single mum, no one else to ask).

They do a bit.
I am very envious. Smile
I have huge calf muscles and have massive trouble getting boots or trousers to fit.

5madthings · 12/01/2015 21:13

They look a bit wide to me.

CecyHall · 12/01/2015 21:14

Yeah they don't look quite right, I'm sorry!

mirpuppet · 12/01/2015 21:15

Sorry they look a bit like wellies. Or like they are too big for you.

I would return.

YoullLikeItNotaLot · 12/01/2015 21:16

I think they look fine from the back, but maybe a leeetle bit wide from the side & front. I think though, I wouldn't have noticed unless you asked me to look?

Like BikeRunSki I have very muscular calves and dream of this problem. Not much help I know.

Lovely boots though - were they a bargain?

LL0015 · 12/01/2015 21:18

They were a bargain, half price
£160
Yes ouch they really do cost that much new. The leather is so fine, the quality is amazing.
I have Frye ankle boots which are so comfy and I've wanted these for ages.

They are gorgeous boots but as they are do look a little big. You could try taking them to a cobblers to see if they can take them in a bit for you. I had some taken in a few years ago. You might need to try an independent cobblers as I think the high st ones don't tend to do this sort of thing.

Apatite1 · 12/01/2015 22:56

Sorry but they are too big and look like wellies. I'd send them back.

PinkOboe · 12/01/2015 23:09

Yup. Too wide. You'd better give them to me Grin

PinkOboe · 12/01/2015 23:10

Or try some chunky long socks just poking out the top?
