My very expensive trousers have fallen to bits after 4 months

So I bought some lovely, lovely trousers from Winser, they were about £100 which is on the pricey side for me, but I think they're great, and have been telling everyone how fab they are - and now the waistband has suddenly started falling apart, I'm gutted. I think I can fix them, but feel a bit jipped that something so expensive really hasn't lasted very long. Can I complain? Is it too late to ask for a partial refund? Waaah

Do you mean Windsor? I would suggest you write to their customer service, at worst they will say nothing they can do. Or if they genuinly care about customers they may offer to fix/exchange etc. In the past prime companies I've bought things from have been great at trying to sort things out. Let me know how you get on!

The sale of goods act covers goods up to six months (if they fall apart within that time they're deemed to be faulty). It'd be worth taking it up with the shop. If you paid on credit card and the trousers cost more than £100, your credit card company may also be able to help.
