It's lovely. I want it!

Valsoldknickers · 08/01/2015 19:09

That is stunning, really, really beautiful!

You must be going somewhere special to wear a dress like this. Care to spill?

ouryve · 08/01/2015 19:17

It's rather pretty.

Though I'd look like a foil wrapped turkey in it. It needs the right sized lumps in the right places

Millli · 08/01/2015 19:18

Goodness me, its pretty, sort of Flapperish but for £225 I would expect a better material than polyester.

MsVanRein · 08/01/2015 19:18

Oh it's lovely - I'm tempted to get it actually!

Madaboutthrows · 08/01/2015 20:20

I think it's quite expensive given its a high street dress but if it floats your boat then go for it

magicpixie · 08/01/2015 20:31

I was think as a wedding guest?

AmberNectarine · 08/01/2015 20:48

Too much for a wedding I think, unless it's a very glam, black tie, night time wedding.

Twinklestein · 08/01/2015 20:51

I like the idea, but I think the sequins are a bit big and stick out. It makes the model look slightly thick-waisted when she's clearly not.

I think you could probably get a better-fitting sequin dress for that price.

revealall · 08/01/2015 20:55

Pretty but too OTT for a wedding.

I would have thought it was a Christmas/ New Years dress in the sale. Can't believe the price at this time of year. Sure their must be something similar for lots less around now?

magicpixie · 08/01/2015 21:41

its at a stately home
so guessing will bequite glam

nilbyname · 08/01/2015 21:44

Not for a wedding unless the invite States black tie? That's a cocktail dress.

magicpixie · 08/01/2015 22:00

Well where are you supposed to wear cocktail dresses?

Personally i would even wear that to a v b smart restaurant in holiday
But then again i do dress up often

OP posts:
nilbyname · 08/01/2015 22:07

A cocktail dress to a black tie event like a gallery opening, a fashion show, a ball of sorts. Perhaps a very smart dinner.

burnishedsilver · 08/01/2015 22:19

Looooove it.
Put a lovely jacket over it for the day time part of the wedding.

magicpixie · 08/01/2015 22:25

Oh well i never go to any balls!

So shall have to go to some vvv smart restaurant

Decided to try it on at the weekend
And if it fits/looks good
I shall get it

No idea about shoes though

2would you say its a Hair up type of dress?

i have long dark hair

OP posts:
burnishedsilver · 08/01/2015 22:27

Leave your hair down and curled to dress it down a little. Black satin court shoes would be lovely.

magicpixie · 08/01/2015 22:38

My hairs wavy but i often curl it more

Thanks

Purplehonesty · 08/01/2015 22:44

It's lovely. I would wear it to a wedding too with hair down.
Have a great time!

magicpixie · 08/01/2015 22:47

Just shown it to dh who said hhhmm bit shapeless looks like a bit like a bin bag

OP posts:
Eustasiavye · 08/01/2015 23:39

I like it.

RojaGato · 09/01/2015 00:34

Beautiful. Reminds me of the dress Marilyn Monroe wore in some Like it Hot.

looki · 09/01/2015 01:18

I think its beautiful. The bigger sequins may make it feel heavy but that can only add to it.

I am a bit in awe of the price though! I have only once paid that for a dress and it was for a brother's wedding.

hellsbellsmelons · 09/01/2015 10:23

I'm with your husband.
I think you could find much better for £225.
It might look really good on though.
These models have no figures.
Try it and send a pic to your DH to see what he thinks of it on you.

hellsbellsmelons · 09/01/2015 10:30

this one I prefer
pretty for the less than half the price
classy but different
