I got a brilliant coat from Jack Wolfskin. It's not a parka but it's fantastic.

On phone so can't link - it's really warm and waterproof.

For the spring/summer I got a Fred Perry parka which again is waterproof with a hood.

Both were about £160 but they'll never date.

Trooperslane · 08/01/2015 09:19

Should say both are calf length and have hoods.

magicpixie · 08/01/2015 09:23

calf length, hmm I'm 5ft 4
so might be a long for me

sound nice though will try n google

If it's this Jack Wolfskin I have it too and I love it. I'm 5ft2 and it's a perfect length on me.

magicpixie · 08/01/2015 09:59

oh yes that smart

I think I would like something with a bit of a fur trim on the hood

I have a seasalt one which isn't totally offensive style-wise (although is unlikely to set the world alight). It is totally waterproof and has a generous hood.

HolgerDanske · 08/01/2015 10:50

Mint velvet sale? Saw a couple nice ones on there, if I remember correctly

Bippidee · 08/01/2015 10:52

Seasalt Janelle. Is knee length and they have a grey one in their sale right now.

honeypie10 · 08/01/2015 13:46

Hi op,

I just got this one in the sale at John Llewis, it was down to £125, just cant find it on my phone.

kerstina · 08/01/2015 20:32

Great plains do a good one.

seaoflove · 08/01/2015 20:37

I got a parka in the Barbour sale. It's padded, so might not be the look you're going for, but oh my goodness, it's the warmest coat I've ever owned!

It's this one:

Have got that one but take the detachable fur off the hood

plentyofshoes · 08/01/2015 22:26

My mum coat was from fatface, 50 down from 100 in the sale. Lovely and warm.

peppapigonaloop · 08/01/2015 22:28

Atterley road has some nice ones in the sale

Nel1975 · 08/01/2015 22:35

Didriksons do some nice parka style coats.

Paddingtonthebear · 08/01/2015 22:35

I've got a jack Wolfskin 5th avenue coat in navy blue, stylish, fully waterproof, insulated, lovely furry hood. Love it. Got it for much less than the official RRP, if you Google the coat there are independent retailers selling it for around £140 at the moment.

Paddingtonthebear · 08/01/2015 22:36

This is it

I've got this- it's been great and got lots of compliments on it. The metallic is subtle but just makes it a bit different and more stylish. I pull the cord at the middle tighter so its more flattering than shown in the picture.

strawberrysplit · 09/01/2015 11:30

I'm waiting on this one arriving - Debenhams and sportsdirect also have it on sale - 100% waterproof, needed for the same reason as you. Just hoping it's not stupidly long on me at 5''1
