Can you have a fringe if you wear glasses? Is that a stupid question?!

I have been wearing glasses for a few months and I quite like them. I don't have a fringe at the moment as it's easier to tie back and I'm incredibly lazy but I always used to have one and it used to suit me I think.

But wouldn't a fringe sit on the frames and look weird and be annoying?

I've got a side fringe with glasses and I think it looks fine. I know what you mean though, glasses are distinctive and you can have too much going on. I don't wear big earrings any more for the same reason.

So that's why I've stopped liking earrings (and necklaces). All looks too busy! Thanks Flo!

I disagree about Zooey Deschanel, I think her glasses and fringe combo are very unflattering, makes her face look short and round when it isn't. Same for me only worse as mine is short and round with a double chin and needs all the length it can get, I can wear a fringe with no glasses but together they make my face look really pudgy and squashed.

I think it's a look you have to be careful with....otherwise your face doesn't really start until your nostrils.

same with specs and big earrings...all too much, unless you are Sophia Loren!

I have a fringe and wear glasses occasionally, its only a problem when my fringe is long enough to touch my glasses. I prefer contact lenses usually so not often a problem, if my fringe is a bit long and its a glasses day I just blow dry the fringe to one side a bit. Hth. Smile
