Jeans... a staple but so hard to get right!

I am on the hunt of a good pair of jeans to wear with a blazer but feel too fat in skinny ones.

I am a size 16, 5'6" and apple shaped.

I am your size and shape, and I really like 2 of Gap's styles, the curvy straight and the long and lean.
I know, the long and lean sounds counter intuitive, but you should give them a try!

Thank you, not going to be near gap for a few weeks but I will give them a try.

Levi Demi Curve. Really good cut, nice thick denim and not too skinny.

TKMaxx often have them discounted if you don't want to pay full whack.

gaps ultra skinny pants, not exactly jeans but look good imho.
possibly topshop joni high waist jeans.

Have a look at Salsa jeans. House of Fraser definitely do them and maybe John Lewis. They hold everything in and have lots of different styles.

Thank you everyone. I have a child free day next Friday so I plan to spend the morning going around the city on the perfect jean hunt. I really like the look of the salsa ones.
