Which handbag, Peony and Moore, Grandala, or other?

I have been searching for a handbag for months, and finally found a couple that I like the look of, that are the right shape, colour etc. I want a hobo/ slouch bag in soft leather in a spring colour. The other issue is I have trouble keeping bags on my shoulder (funny shape shoulders?) and stiff straps tend to slide off, soft leather is better if it can mould to my shape a bit.

Peony and Moore Mariella in french rose love the shape and colour. An old thread I read talked about a discount code for 10% off when you sign up, so I signed up but no code arrived, is this a thing of the past? Strap a bit stiff perhaps.

Grandala mini eldenberry hobo in grey maybe not as nice quality as the Mariella? But I like the plaited strap, think it may stay on my shoulder better, but don't like the tassels much, looks a bit straggly.

Any other suggestions for similar shape bags? Thanks Smile

Peony & Moore one is lovely, never heard of the other company and it doesn't look half as nice.

Thanks mrsdimmock for the reply, I thought so too Smile

I have the Grandala Petrolina and it's a really good bag - very soft and well made. I bought it about 7 years ago and it has worn very well - looks like a Mulberry and gets better with age.

Thanks MrsMarigold, it's nice to hear from someone who has used them.

Thanks Infinity8. I've just looked them up on Facebook, seems they opened a shop in convent Garden last June, I wonder if its still there. Then I can see if the handbags stay on my shoulder before I buy! There is a lovely pink bag from last May on FB but can't see it on there website.
I signed up to their newsletter, they have given me a 10% off code at least Smile

I've a several Grandala bags from when they were called Blondie Mania - they're beautiful quality and the attention to detail is superb. I've had some of them for years and they really do age beautifully. My friend's P&M hasn't aged half so well. Do wait for a sale, though - I got my Vienne messenger for £39 and it's usually £170!

Thanks OpheliaBalls (great name By the way!), good to hear the quality is good. I'll hang on for a sale, any idea when they might have those?

I thought peony and Moore wasn't great quality either. I brought one on recommendation of mumsnet and was really disappointed. The leather didn't age very well and it was heavy and quite rigid almost plasticky feeling. I think the model was Lucia/Lucy?

Zero they've just had one with some fab reductions but they have flash sales all the time - if you sign up to their mailing list you'll be notified when there's a sale. They often have exclusive discounts for customers on the mailing list too. Warning though, they're addictive and one is not enough Grin

Oops sorry, I've just seen you've already signed up! Blame extreme knackeredness Grin

Is that due to activities in your user name? Grin
Handbag addiction sounds good to me, although they haven't yet replied to my email form last week, about a handbag on their FB page, must chase it up.
