Dark denim jeans dying my hands blue

Is it possible to do anything to speed up the process by which new dark denim jeans shed dye all over the place? I'm wearing a newish pair now and my hands look like I've been recently drowned. I've also previously permanently stained a yellow bag by wearing it with new jeans. :(

It's happened to me with cheap and expensive jeans (the ones I'm wearing now are J Brand, which in fairness don't shed as much as others I've tried, and only with really dark rinses), so I don't think it's just something you get with inexpensive brands. Anyone?

I bought some recently that were fine after a couple of washes.

Yeah, I'll see how these are after another wash or two. Just hoping they won't be like the Banana Republic pair I ended up giving away because they were still dying me blue after about five goes through the machine.

I has some that did the same, I kept washing them until it stopped. Took about 7 washes though.
