Next do a petite range - I find them pretty reliable and not too pricey

nikkie · 14/10/2006 22:39

next is the very top end of my budget really and seemed to be mainly suits!

you could try topshop? they do a petite range and also their jeans sometimes come in shorter length. I'm only 5ft and find I end up taking up a lot of trousers! The last pair of jeans I bought were New Look boyfriend jeans in shorter length, they are fine and only £23. River Island also do shorter length in some of their smart and casual trousers.

Try this site lots of info I wish more people did petite ranges but it is getting better!

TheTexasStigletMassacre · 15/10/2006 19:15

oh and a sewing machine is invaluable lol

Places like Dorothy Perkins do petite sizes, as so Tesco and I think Asda (but probably larger shops only) H& M sometimes do smaller sizes too.

How tall are you btw?

shazdisembodiedronnie · 15/10/2006 19:26

If you are quite slim try tammy girl! I am size 10 and 5 foot, and found some lovely long sweaters in age 15!!

shazdisembodiedronnie · 15/10/2006 19:26

also new look do short length in alot of their jeans and trousers

nikkie · 16/10/2006 21:42

where do you live nikkie? Might be worth travelling to a bigger place just for this purpose. Or your best bet might be to order online. Hope your kids are better at shopping than my dd
I often wear things long too! Or, I end up getting someone to take things up as I am crap at sewing

nikkie · 17/10/2006 22:53

Cumbria, no really big shopping centres under 2-3 hours but we are going to Wales next week and may go to Chester/Liverpool en route, need to know what shops to look for !
We have lots of the major ones but only small shops so they don't have the petite ranges.

Dd1 hates shopping, dd2 will shop if she gets something!
