What colour of tights with brown shoes?

I have a pair of chocolate brown Mary Jane style shoes that are very comfy but haven't worn for ages. I tend to stick to opaque tights in the winter but not sure what would be best with them. Is black ok? Would brown be too much? What about grey or navy?

I tend to wear navy or dark grey with brown shoes. I love grey tights though, so spend a lot of time sourcing nice ones!

I have brown high heel mary janes & wear them with black or burgundy opaques. I feel like a 5 year old pairing them with grey or navy. I have also worn them with brown opaques but did feel a bit nun-esque Grin

Wearing with skinnies, I wear pointelle socks in black or navy from Topshop

Tabio have a great range of different colours for having a look at. Chocolate brown, ink blue or old turquoise, royal purple or dark red, all would go well -- or for a seventies vibe you could do dark yellow or dull mint.

btw, Tabio tights are expensive but I have found them to be really good quality. They last forever.

I love the M&S velvet touch ones. Currently rocking some royal (cadburyGrin) purple ones.

black tights i think look best.

It also depends what colour skirt or dress you're wearing.

So basically, anything goes then Smile just based on personal taste. I'm a fan of m&s tights too but those tabio ones look nice. I don't think I could work mustard yellow though.
