Good jeans for short people?

I despair of finding a flattering pair of jeans. Or work trousers for that matter but if I could find reasonable jeans, I'd be thrilled.

I have sorrowfully short, chunky legs. Actually they look totally fine in dresses and skirts but trousers are all a disaster on me. At 5'3 and size 10-12 I'm not slender but not huge either, so I don't think it's a weight thing.

What brands or styles might I try? Or just accept jeans don't suit me?

Gap Real Straights are very flattering and come in different lengths. I am shorter than you and a size 10 and those are the ones I wear.

What's your inside leg? Mine is 27" which is short.

New Look do a great range of different jeans in different leg sizes.

Im same size/height as you and love Espirit jeans as they come in lots of lengths. I'm short in the leg and buy lots from them (online). Or I embrace the turn up look and go Zara/New Look!

Sainsburys tu short are good, and they are quite structured not too stretchy.
