Have boots changed? The 'riding boots' style, I mean.

I haven't bought a pair of boots in, oh, ten years or so. I love them, but it's always been an expensive struggle to find any that fit, as I have wide feet and large calves.

Yesterday I did the sales and tried on 15-20 mid-range pairs. All bar 3 or 4 fit my calves! Some were even wide enough that I could tuck my jeans in!

What has happened? Certainly not me becoming skinny (chance would be a fine thing!)

I think it's called vanity sizing!!

Manufacturers have realised that they can sell more boots to more people If they make them to fit a wider range of sizes!
