How do I wear my jeans with new ankle boots without looking like a parsnip?!

I bought some nice ankle boots in the sales but now I've got them home I'm not sure they look right with my jeans. Slim leg jeans, what do I do with them, tuck them into boot, leave them out, rest on top? When I tried them in shop I had black leggings on which didn't look right but I really like the boots and very comfy.

I usually wear my ankle boots with turned up skinny jeans about an inch above. Its not as draughty as it sounds Smile

Try googling how to wear ankle boots for ideas

Same here, turned up. Wouldn't look good tucked in.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2014 13:10

Yes - cuffed to top of boots.

Tucking in never worked for me, either cropped or rolled up is better. Am not the greatest fan of ankle boots, just not generally loving that they tend to highlight the awkward spot that is neither calf nor ankle.

Cheesymonster · 31/12/2014 16:50

Would this look work if the boots were flat? Sorry for the hijack OP.

Mouldypineapple · 31/12/2014 16:52

Parsnips are good this time of year...

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2014 16:53

Fine with flat boots too.

AnyFucker · 31/12/2014 16:59

I add a small turn up and it seems to balance it

leedy · 31/12/2014 17:38

Roll mine up a bit as well.
