I want something like these- pointed toe, leather, covers half the the foot- but I want some with sides.

Thanks- the clarks are okish, but you're right, I don't like the studs.

The KG ones are nicer but have a rounded toe- I really want pointed.

I've been seeing this style of shoe around a lot lately actually, so you'll probably find some closer to spring.

The style is called Smoking Slipper or Dandy Slipper, by the way, if that helps with the searching!

Chanel has a really cool pair

Smoking slippers tend to have a rounded toe, like those Ops ones... I'm really after something pointed but which covers half of the foot, as well as the back and sides. An impossible task I think!

No, ballerinas are not what I'm after at all... They don't cover enough foot- Nor are the lace ups as they cover too much foot

Unze ( firm ) sell lots of these - they are a type of indian shoe
if you google it you will mostly see heavily beaded ones - but plain ons are not uncommon
