jeans that don't go baggy at the bum

Heeeeeeeelp. 5'5", size 12, hourglass shape. I have never ever found a pair of jeans that doesn't go baggy at the bum after being worn for half an hour. I've tried sizing up and down, I've tried various brands, and I always have the same problem. Annoyingly, they always seem ok when I try them on as they fit fine and don't go baggy until half an hour after putting them on.

Am I destined to have a baggy arse forever, or has anyone discovered the holy grail?

Hi vomit. I have a different body shape to you but my hourglass friends swear by boden (which I know is not everybody's 'thing'). Plus some supermarkets but am sorry I can't remember which.

Thank you tilder (and thank you for addressing me by my formal name). I did wonder about Boden as their clothes fit me very well usually (I like their basics and a few other bits, but their prints and anything entitled 'hotchpotch' can jigger off). I will await a free delivery and returns code so I can try on as many as I like because I fear buying jeans online for some reason.

Uniqlo are my absolute favourite jeans as the denim doesn't loose it's shape. I have a skinny pair and a straight pair in a dark denim colour and I've been really happy with both. I'm more of a pear shape.

If you're after skinnies try M and S '5 pocket jeggings' - the best skinnies I've ever had and only £22. They don't bag at all.

I am a similar size to you and I bought some Boden jeans 2 yrs ago. And they haven't bagged at all nor have the waist droops and creates a tummy overhang. They are my best jeans at under £50.

Sadly this week they developed a hole on the knee but they get worn several times a week so held up well.

I do get called 'tidier' a lot (which couldn't be further from the truth) which I always presume to be due to predictive text.
I know what you mean about the hitch porch stuff. Why, just why would I want that?!

I've tried on the M&S skinnies a few times as so many recommend them, but they make me look like a potato :-(

I'm the same height/size & I absolutely swear by topshop Leigh jeans. Although, a couple of disclaimers are needed - they are skin tight, though not uncomfortable. Also they tend to come apart at the seams after about 8-12 months.
But seriously, the fit/shape is amazing!
(Though, too bloody long - even petite, it's a good job I can sew!)

The Kooples (not the sport version) do very un stretchy jeans which avoid this issue

Quick update to say that I bought some Oasis Cherry jeans at the weekend because I had something to return (so that's almost like free money to spend on jeans, right?) They are PERFECTION. Great fit, make my legs look far better than they really are, the waist doesn't slip down to reveal bum cleavage (ew) and no bum bagginess at all even after 3 days of wear. Thank you for the recommendation.

I can also recommend (though only at sale price as they are spendy) J Brand Photo Ready Fabric ones, they are amazing at not going baggy in the arse/knee.
