What would you buy - apart from clothes - if you were going on a shopping spree?

I've arranged a shopping trip with DD in the sales after xmas and rather than DH buy me presents, I've said I'll buy myself something then instead. I've been trying to think about what to buy and realised I actually don't need any clothes at all apart from maybe a new pair of jeans.

What's top of your list?

A really classic handbag. I am in the same situation I have enough clothes but have only ever bought kipling bags as it suits my casual lifestyle but now approaching 50 feel its time for a grown up bag and one that has to be a real keeper is what I am on the look out for but just a thought for you.

Kitchenaid for me too. And maybe a steamer so my house could sparkle. And a complete new set of make-up.

Fairylea · 21/12/2014 20:01

I'd get my nose pierced and book a tattoo .... but then I am silly like that. Grin (currently going through a mid life return to punk stage, luckily I am broke though so I can't afford to indulge it which may be a good thing ....).

Failing that, I'd love some new slippers, lovely soft pj's and some lush bath stuff and maybe some clinique make up!

JaceLancs · 21/12/2014 22:00

Jewellery
Handbag/purse
Shoes/boots
Perfume
Gloves

3 of the above are already wrapped under tree from DP
Diamond earrings
Dents butter soft leather cashmere lined gloves
Perfume - will be a surprise - he has good instinct for what will suit me

Typing this just realised how lucky I am - hope you find something special

MrsMeow · 22/12/2014 06:26

Thanks everyone, some brilliant ideas there :) especially love the Tom Ford make up, I'd never have thought of that although I love his perfume and aftershave.

Fairylea, I already have the piercings and tattoos. Will rage against the machine until I die haha! (although within limits, I'm a nurse ;-))

I would schedule something like getting nails done or massage for you and DD at end of the shopping session. Maybe a pedicure or foot massage and a glass of wine after all the shopping activity!

MrsMeow · 27/12/2014 06:29

Ooh thats a fab idea, thank you!

I recently bought some heated rollers that have transformed my hair.

And decent jeans are a must I like 7

I've also stopped buying costume jewelry and only buy stuff that will last.

I also like diptyque candles
