Just realised I spend about £150. Is that really excessive?

I don't spend anything

tweetyfish · 12/10/2006 13:35

that depends on wether you can afford it surely? i don't think its excessive if you can afford it!

bluejelly · 12/10/2006 13:36

Well I have quite a good salary but am also 3k overdrawn, so I guess not!

Depends on your family income I suppose. It's about what I've spent on clothes/make up in the last year, but I'm pretty skint. If you can afford it, go for it. I'll just be over here.

bluejelly · 12/10/2006 13:37

How come capuccino? (Apart from the obvious, being skint I guess)

X posted!

Then yes, if you are £3k od it's very naughty Pay your od off first, and then you can spend it with a clear conscience

Cappuccino · 12/10/2006 13:40

cos I've got money, but not for that. I have about £40 a month to spend on Stuff, but it's amazing how quick it goes if you buy a book and go to the pictures a couple of times

tweetyfish · 12/10/2006 13:40

i don't spend anything on myself as i'm very overweight so everything looks quite crap, however I have 2 gorgeous slim children whose body are made for clothes and prefer to spend the money on them!

Cappuccino · 12/10/2006 13:40

I've never been overdrawn tho

bluejelly · 12/10/2006 13:41

I guess I never spend money on house-type things and have to look fairly smart for my job... I do feel a bit guilty about it though

i'd try to get the overdraft down if you could otherwise you'll end up on spendaholics with that nosey woman shoving unopened packets of tights in your face

NastyNemo666 · 12/10/2006 13:49

well my money on clothes and makeup in the past 6mths combined must total around £80 and that is only because I spent all that in the past 2wks on clothes to fit the ever expanding bump so bought 3 pairstrousers, 1 jeans[on order] and 4 sets pjs also on order. Very rare I buy something for myself.

mumfor1standfinaltime · 12/10/2006 13:55

This month have bought a top in a sale for £7. That is it! I don't have a particular budget for me, I just get things when and if I need them.
I have bought ds some pj's, shoes and a top.

mumfor1standfinaltime · 12/10/2006 13:57

3k over drawn, well that makes me feel better about my small over draft and my credit card bill!

scoobytwo · 12/10/2006 13:59

like evey one says depends if you can afford it,at the mo i spend £200ish a month
