Recommendations for non sticky lip gloss or balm - christmas present to myself!

I'm off shopping tomorrow and want to treat myself to a lipgloss for the festive season. I've seen some lovely shimmery, sparkley ones on people lately.
I really don't like anything too sticky or that has a noticeable taste as some I've bought in the past have had.
I generally buy clinique make up but have never had their lipgloss, reviews say its quite sticky?
Any recommendations please?

You are right that Clinique is sticky... It's really disappointing!

QuickSilverFairy · 20/12/2014 20:28

I am a huge fan of Fresh Sugar lip treatment. It is very soothing, comes in great colours and is def non sticky.

Madaboutthrows · 20/12/2014 20:50

Clinique superbalm..not strictly a lipgloss though

Darkchocsprinkles · 20/12/2014 20:55

This one. No contest Wink

creamhearts · 20/12/2014 20:59

Dior lip gloss is not sticky.

Cheesymonster · 21/12/2014 07:56

I was going to suggest the same as darkchoc although I've not tried it myself. I've used the boots no 7 "dupe" which is called BB Lips.

Nuxe Honey lip balm in the little glass pot is the best I've ever used, I must be on my 5th pot now. It's not coloured but it is great for soft lips. It actually seems to do something. Most lip balms only work when they are on, as soon as they wear off the effect goes, not this one.

Madaboutthrows · 21/12/2014 09:29

The nuxx balm is lovely.

Rinkydinkypink · 21/12/2014 09:33

Clinique is sticky. Max factor and stila are what I'm using at the moment. You have to keep testing them. I'm sure they change there ingredients.

I'm wearing something I just picked up randomly in a health food shop last week, but it's great - non-sticky, moisturising and the right amount of colour. Burt's Bees tinted lip balm in 'Rose'.

Last year Vaseline did a limited edition Red - I bought it for DD , she loves it. It's a sheer red.
IIRC they have a honey one this year.

YY to Nuxe, I use some at night as a treatment (smoothed on with my fingertip) if I'm using as a gloss, I use a brush

Benefit have one called sugar crush or sugar bomb, something like that. Its really nice and soft, not sticky at all.

pebblepots · 23/12/2014 00:00

Boots No. 7 BB lips

AwkwardSquad · 23/12/2014 08:02

Burt's Bees do a good range of tinted lip balms, including some with a little shimmer. Not gloopy or sticky at all, and inexpensive.

coffeenut · 23/12/2014 08:13

Nars and mac lip glass.

MilkThistle187 · 23/12/2014 08:55

I love Dior Lip Glow, also agree the Burts Bees lip balms are brilliant value.

On Christmas Eve I always treat myself to a Chanel lip gloss, great colours and the packaging is gorgeous

Eliza22 · 24/12/2014 09:21

The Clains one, linked to above. No question.

Gunpowder · 24/12/2014 09:26

I like Nars too, and Laura Mercier.

Dancergirl · 24/12/2014 11:22

Love the look of the clarins one darkchoc , what colour do you have?

MrsMarcJacobs · 24/12/2014 20:25

Dior addict lipgloss - the best I've ever used :)
