Boden bootcut - low rise - are they abit mumsy?
Also has anyone bought Boden velvet straight legs? Have never bought trousers from boden? have always thought they'd be abit "sensible"

mine too.
Drawers also unfortunately small too.
Actually, that should be drawer, singular.

This is a subject close to my heart at the moment.
I'm just not the same shape as I was before baby No.2. Now I want a nice pair of jeans that stay up - I just can't seem to find a pair of jeans that stay up when I bend down, belt or no.
I used to wear low rise all the time but I can't find any I like now. As an extremely curvy short-arse, well less curvy and more errrrmm softly straighter, it's a bloody hard job to find a nice pair of jeans that are a good length and fit!!

addictedtoshopping · 11/10/2006 20:23

how much do you want to spend on a pair?

upto £60??
To make me look half way decent

Have you tried the website - ilovejeans.co.uk.
they give quite a good guide to buying jeans depending on your size/shape etc

I would've recommended Paige Premium Denim as their Hollywood Hills style has a higher waist at the back and is really flattering - however they're not cheap

Recently bought Paige jeans and I'm a convert!
Best 150pounds spent on something I would wear everyday.

I stick to my 3 pairs of jeans. And here's what I think of them :

FCUK - normal, as what you would expect of jeans

Diesel - like fitting into a pair of gloves

Paige - like slipping into a pair of silk gloves .. ahhh!!

MrsDoolittle · 11/10/2006 20:57

£150!! Ouch

What is your shape ATS?

addictedtoshopping · 11/10/2006 21:01

Am 5'9" and size 8-10. same size as before 2 kids but have lost waist completely. definately an 'apple' - have to keep up the sit ups. Am a complete jeans freak - given that they are the only things i wear!!

Greenday - i agree about Paige jeans - i love them. Have recently bought the Melrose style - straight - in blue and black. Am trying to track down a pair of darkish Laurel Canyons - everywhere seems to sell out really quick.

My utimate faves are True Religion jeans - have you tried them?

ATS, I've got the Melrose jeans too. In dark blue. Very smart. Suitable for day, perfect for night. But no, I've not tried True Religion. Must do so when I'm looking for more jeans.

Mrs DL, not sure if you were asking my shape as well. I'm a pear shape. Size 10 on top and 12 bottom. 5'9 but rather heavy upper thighs that can be just concealed by height and right clothings.

Paige jeans hold your bum up without comprimising on comfort. I even slept in them on the night of purchase. I figured, if I was going to pay 150pounds for them, they might as well be worthwhile. And you know what? Call me mad, but I found them even more comfy than my PJ bottoms.

greenday · 12/10/2006 08:26

Oh, ATS - have you tried the Paige website? They sell jeans online but they're from US so overseas shipping. Still, worth a go if you haven't managed to find LC.
