employment literacy and numeracy selection test? So not at actual interview stage yet. I get that if I pass the test. Smart/casual, full on interview stuff or what?

When it comes to job interviews you can never be over-dressed. Despite it not being an interview as such you will still be "on show" for want of a better phrase. No one will think badly of you if you are the only one in a suit, whereas if you are the only one not in a suit it would look bad (IMO).

Perhaps suit with smart t shirt?

I'd wear a suit, better to stand out for being smart than blend in being casual! (good luck btw!)

smart trousers, clean shiny shoes, jacket and crease free tshirt. Save the suit for the next time you see them
