I need to get some boots for her that are suitable for trudging through mud and walking the dog but she hates wellies and said she would be too embarrassed to be seen out the house in them

What are other teens wearing this winter to keep their feet warm and dry?

Hunter do a nice boot that is technically a welly but doesn't really look like a welly. They're black and padded. Can't miss them if you look in their website.

www.amazon.co.uk/Hunter-Ladies-Sandhurst-Savoy-Wellington/dp/B00NU71A4A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1418495563&sr=8-2&keywords=hunter+wellies+savoy

Expensive but will last forever. You can also shop around to get them cheaper.

Search online for 'country boot'. Much sleeker but still waterproof. More of an equestrian feel

What about something from Sorel? Depending on how much you want to spend, there are some pretty stylish ones on there!! Expensive though, not a substitute for a pair of supermarket wellies!!

only just seen these responses, thanks so much! I shall check out your suggestions, thank you

I got DD (12 but as style conscious as a teen) some wellies in Matalan at the weekend - wellie material but biker boot style so hopefully a good mix of fashionable and practical. Only £12 as well.

kaykayblue · 19/12/2014 10:08

Seriously recommend you check john lewis. They have some very gorgeous wellies in that basically just look like normal boots.

I guess the main thing will be to get them in black, and nothing typically racing green or patterned.

Docs?

Gillybobs · 19/12/2014 13:13

BOden have a pair of wellies that look like biker boots

if ve ccwess to Costco, they sell khombu ladies snow boots, they are just like calf length lace up boots with some padding, waterproof shoe bit and nice and warm.

I no longer wear willies for dog walking as my feet were frozen, these have been fantastic as just wash them down with the outside tap and leave them to dry and no more cold feet. I think they were £30 with VAT.

something like this? www.newlook.com/shop/shoe-gallery/view-all-boots/black-studded-buckle-strap-biker-wellies_324465501?extcam=UK_PPC_PLA_3244667_CR_39074445274_DV_c&tmcampid=155&tmad=c&tmplaceref=UK_PPC_PLA_3244667_CR_39074445274_DV_c&gclid=CPf-z52X0sICFY3JtAodtA4ATA look like normal biker boots from a distance

Merrel "Oslo" boots.
Waterproof, warm and last really well.

Follyfoot · 19/12/2014 13:58

Might she like any of these? They are warm, comfy and waterproof.

catsofa · 19/12/2014 14:10

I've got a pair of Next snow boots much like these www.next.co.uk/g402392s3#770482g40 they are waterproof and fur lined right down to the toes, really snug and comfy. No idea if fashionable though.

slalomsuki · 19/12/2014 14:16

Asda had some black wellies that were like biker boots and had a quilted (made from wellie material) leg that looked like leather. I only realised they were wellies when I picked them up.
