New job would like to look a little more polished.

My morning routine is a shower and getting dressed (and getting DC ready).
I start a new job soon and wanted to put in more effort and look a little more polished.
Any tips for someone on the lazy side
Ps -no make up daily just moisturiser (I'm nearly 40!)
I do own a make up bag it's pretty dusty and gets used a few times a year. I usually find make up looks cakey by mid morning so avoid using but would really love some tips on what to do.

Tidy eyebrows
Simple but lovely stud earrings
Tidy and polished nails
Lip gloss
Decent haircut

make up doesn't add polish - do your male colleagues look unfinished because they aren't wearing it?

what lucky says, plus tidy clothes with no sagging seams, no gaping buttons, underwear that is invisible, shoes you can walk properly in (polished if polish-able), not smelling of anything and no fiddly rattly bits.

a friendly expression and a can-do attitude. That's it.

Tinted moisturiser & some lipgloss
Co-ordinated outfit (a few mix and match pieces)
Shiny hair in easy to maintain style or put up
Good quality shoes & handbag
Get everything ready the night before, makes it much easier

Definitely agree with the tip about getting everything ready the night before. And yes, you should always wear stud earrings.

PS - and squirt of subtle, expensive perfume. I swear by Chanel No 5, it makes me feel more 'finished.'
