Christmas knitted skirt - what to wear with it?

What shall I wear on my top with a Christmas knitted skirt? Have 2, a black one and a burgundy one. Any ideas?

I would wear a black long sleeve top and opaques - let the skirt be the main event. Certainly not another print on top anyway.

Dd had that skirt in opposite colours from last Christmas & I'm always jealous of it.
