Where do you buy your scarves from?

I love scarves and would like to treat myself to a few new ones. Where should I look?

Also, colours....I tend to go for same old colours, navy prints etc. I have dark hair and eyes and pale skin, what colours would suit me?

I bought a nice scarf from Uniqlo in Navy and grey. It's very cosy.

mowglik · 09/12/2014 16:41

Maroon and purple, also grey. Brighter colours like fuschia would also suit you I think
I like mint velvet for grey, cream and purple shade scarves, also next have some nice designs

Sainsburys and TKMaxx. Both have a lovely collection

Gem124 · 09/12/2014 21:17

Another vote for TK Maxx

A little local shop. (Not much help)

hellsbellsmelons · 10/12/2014 11:32

I got 3 from Next recently.
I had a voucher and I'm not that keen on their clothes so went for scarves instead.

Mochamum · 10/12/2014 13:36

I've picked up some lovely ones from Pure Collection, Brora and Lola Rose but only in their clearance sales at end of season. I couldn't afford their normal prices.

PhoebeMcPeePee · 10/12/2014 13:40

mint velvet, tkmaxx, sainsburys, Zara or I try & source the pricier ones on eBay Grin

UmizoomiThis · 10/12/2014 13:44

eBay. Lots of people get scarves as gifts for Xmas and sell them on new without tags in the new year.

I also got some lovely ones from Liberty of London. They opened an outlet store on eBay this year and sporadically will place stock on there once in a blue moon (set up an alert). I got a heavenly cashmere scarf for £40 that is the softest warmest one I own (and I own a lot). It retailed for well over £300 originally. Also got summer silk one on for a tenner.

good old M & S has some lovely scarves - I always look there when I need for pressies etc.

plumduffer · 10/12/2014 17:10

Patterned silk scarves - vintage (usually Ebay, 40s, 50s) or TKMaxx (I seem to have a fair few Moschino…fun quirky prints). Plain and patterned wool/cashmere - TKMaxx, or Ebay outlet stores (Johnston's of Elgin, Dunedin).

The scarf I wear most is a 50s floral-patterned silk thingy I bought for £5 in a vintage shop!

CointreauVersial · 10/12/2014 18:36

Primark. Cheap and cheerful.

Or TKMaxx.

queenbrunhilda · 10/12/2014 22:52

Yup, TK Maxx - they've had Liberty and Missoni in stock recently.
