This is kind of sad but i bought my dd a pink velvet dress with a layers of dress net to wear on Christmas day and i wanted to kind of match her for fun by wearing a pink tulle skirt. I just don't know what to wear up top to make it look cool rather than looking like matching twin flumps. I was going to wear it with black tights and black blazer but need some kind top. On pinterest people wear pretty plain and simple tops with them... any opinions??!

Ladies where are we getting these tulle skirts from? I've pinned lots on pintrest in the past but never found one in real life? I would go for a simple top or tucked in knitwear x

I've got a black one that i wear with a black jumper, a red, grey or purple cardi and black vest, a black long sleeved tee or with a sweatshirt. I love it, mine came from ebay

There's a few on ASOS. Haven't managed to find any others though. I don't want one that's too big, but the narrower ones they have aren't available in my size.

I got mine from Elsies Attic

I would go with a light weight denim shirt with a tulle skirt. Either tucked in or knotted for a bit more of a retro vibe

Light blue if pale pink, indigo if more cerise. Sounds lovely and very cute

I love these looks! Do you think there's any way to carry one off as a size 14 with no discernible waist, or am I just dreaming?

I love this look but I'd struggle to find an event to wear it to. I got one for ds last year, it has a slight tartan print on the top layer, she wears it with leggings and converse and looks very cool.

I am thinking of a diluted version with a similar shaped midi, in a light flowing fabric, or maybe a tulip shaped midi...and I got a great pair of shoe boots in a Russel&Bromley yesterday that I am quite excited by, they are really comfortable and they are heels - this is such an usual occurance that I had to commit.
