Boden Leather Pull-on Boots?

Anyone splashed out on these? The price seems daft, but maybe they're worth it. I was wondering about asking for gift vouchers for birthday to help purchase, but unsure. Do they fit skinnymalinks, or do you need proper calves? Any info welcome.

oohh bump!! I was just looking at these too. I'm also skinny-legged. Can anyone help?

incy · 11/10/2006 08:41

Bump again, I also love them but have skinny calves so most boots look like wellies on me - how do these fit?

AuldAlliance · 11/10/2006 15:13

Shameless bump for self: is there just a select trio of skinny folk thinking about buying these then? No one's actually taken the plunge? I live in France and I'm not paying the postage to return heavy boots if they're no use.

Umm like those - but I've got a not dissimilar pair from John Lewis

Sorry about crossed messages, was figuring out how to do the link. John Lewis cheaper by any chance?

i have bought these but am still waiting for them to arrive. will let you know.

handlemecarefully · 11/10/2006 15:41

£130 at JL - but the boots weren't exactly the same, just rather similar

AuldAlliance · 11/10/2006 15:42

Oh great, please do, especially as regards the whole fitting-on-skinny-calves side of the question.

check out jonesthebootmaker.com as they have many styles of boots online and some at sale prices..
got a fab pair from there last year, very similiar to these for v. cheap price

tonton · 11/10/2006 15:49

auldalliance and bossykate are you going for brown or black?

covenoveneer · 11/10/2006 15:49

Totally irrelevant, but keep reading the thread title as "Bondage Leather Pull-on Boots" .

AuldAlliance · 11/10/2006 16:42

Tonton, I was thinking brown, though posted link to black ones due to technological ineptness. Starting to think they're a bit expensive and it's silly to order boots to be sent to France when I can doubtless find some ultra-chic ones in town when I find time to go there. So kind of wasted everyone's time with this pseudo-bondage thread, really . Have you made any extravagant decisions?

OP posts:

Am planning to buy the brown ones. Can always send them back! Also like the 'Roceieve' boot on spanishridingboot

bossykate · 30/10/2006 11:17

hello

not sure this is still relevant but i promised to report back...

i didn't like the boots and have sent them back! good quality, nice looking leather etc, calves no problem, but really baggy round the ankles - ugh sorry, i like a nice trim calf/ankle silhouette!

AuldAlliance · 30/10/2006 16:14

Thanks for giving feedback, Bossykate; I posted a message a while ago asking if the boots had come, so am really glad you posted this, especially since you've most probably saved me hassle and money. I too like a trim ankle, what you describe sounds nasty. I shall swither a bit more till the weather gets cold enough to wear boots (where I live we're having a balmy Indian summer...)
