Need a great dress for a very fancy party... any suggestions?

I've ordered a black lace skater dress from New Look. Can't link as I'm on my phone but it's fine... but just fine. I'm going to a really fancy Christmas party in London and want something gorgeous.

I'm an hour glass short arse size 12 with big bust , longish dark hair. Would prefer something vaguely vintage but am open minded.

Budget up to about £60 but could stretch. TIA in advance for any ideas
