Help me! Is this ok for a wedding in December?

I've got to go to a wedding in December and have no idea what to wear - I dont really want to wear trousers if I can help it.

Do you think this would be ok for a wedding or is it a bit too much?

what is it under?

nailpolish · 09/10/2006 16:54

is it the purple bustier and skirt? bottom left hand corner?

not my cup of tea im afraid

spykid · 09/10/2006 16:54

Not v. weddingy.
Lace makes it look a little cheap

nailpolish · 09/10/2006 16:55

im sure itd be fine for a wedding though

you would need something over your shoulders, if its a winter wedding

and i think some churches like covered shoulders

hth

spykid · 09/10/2006 16:57

like this

greeny dress with a chocolate coloured wrap

lemonaid · 09/10/2006 16:57

This one ?

I think OK under a jacket although personally I'd be inclined to team the top with a plainer skirt and jacket. But then personally I'd be inclined to wear trousers so not the best person to advise...

NannyStar · 09/10/2006 16:59

Is it this outfit?

mullingitover · 10/10/2006 12:58

Sorry I'm crap at links!

Yes lemonaid it is the one you have linked to.

You girls dont reckon its the right thing for a wedding? I'm so glad i asked your opinion! Dont want to look like a dogs dinner!!!

I've never been to a December wedding, so any suggestions at all on what to wear will be hugely appreaciated!!!!

here

gold prom dress, top left corner, lovely for a wedding

also on the same page, the skirt and bustier is nice

the pale gold dress bottom left corner would also be nice!

you could wear a shrug thingy

or a frock coat

depends on the wedding

Mumpbump · 10/10/2006 13:12

I don't know. I think it would be quite nice for the evening, but might be a bit overdressed for the church. I would agree that shoulders should be covered in a church as a matter of etiquette - and personal comfort. You're presumably going to be indoors somewhere so you might want something a bit cooler for the late night dancing... I thought the teal dress with the flowers on it that someone posted looked nice and smart...
