Help! Biker Boots wanted. Which are cool but comfy and will show off my shapely calves --and hide my fat ankles--

Have up to £400 budget. They will be my Christmas present! My DH is going to the UK on business next week and will get them. Where from though? I can get them delivered to his hotel if need be, though he will be in London.

I'm craving some but just can't think where he should go. Any ideas?

Sorry can't link but have a look at Barbour Stanchion. John Lewis have them, I bought a pair a couple of weeks ago and love them.

Cat I have these and really like them.

bitofanoddone · 01/12/2014 07:59

Both nice. The barbour ones are a little too country thou and the cat ones a little high up the calf for the look I am imagining.

Have a look on the Russell and Bromley site. Love their Aquatalia.

I bought some Frye Engineers 8r 2 months ago and I live in them now . Took a while to break in but sooo comfy now .

Cranagh · 01/12/2014 17:25

I have the Russell & Bromley boots linked above. Fab, I highly recommend!

polyhymnia · 01/12/2014 21:38

Can I just ask how high the heels feel.

polyhymnia · 01/12/2014 21:40

On the R and B ones I mean. I love them but have to go for really flat feeling boots at moment as recovering from knee injury.

Cranagh · 01/12/2014 21:50

I don't notice the heel at all, Polyhmnia, I had shin splints recently and they were the most comfortable shoes to wear.

elvisola · 01/12/2014 21:59

Google Steve Madden Mightee - Black. Can't link on phone. I have them and love them, so comfy and just the right amount of "biker".

polyhymnia · 01/12/2014 22:48

Well if they are OK with shin splints that suggests they're pretty comfortable.

I have these. They are awesome. Comfy, waterproof, stylish (imho). Those scandis know what they're doing with weatherproofing footwear!

I also have the Russell and Bromley Aquatalia, they are SO comfortable and I think they look pretty good. They are waterproof too.

Twinklestein · 03/12/2014 21:11

Personally I found the Aquatalia boots too big and flappy on the ankles.

These are lovely quality and really comfy:
