DS has chin length hair which looks great, all shaggy and surfer-like. He loves it. But his hair grows out rather than down so needs good layers. Otherwise it's too bouncy and starts to look girly. It seems to be a difficult cut to do for some reason as the easiest thing to do seems to be lots of short layers but then it's really/ too short? 
I take DS to Toni & Guy as I've really struggled in the past to get a good consistent cut from other places and my hairdresser said T&G are good with long boys hair. But the child's price has just gone up to £25 so I might have another try somewhere else.
Hoping someone's DS has similar hair and can recommend somewhere please. (My hairdresser would charge more than £25 and is 4.5hrs away or I'd take DS there in a heartbeat.)
