Can I wear these boots with this dress?

Iv'e bought this dress. Plan to wear it out to dinner with friends next weekend. Dresses are a big deal for me as i'm a jeans/jeggings and jumper kinda gal.

Just tried on my various heels (dusted off from the back of the wardrobe!) and none feel comfortable any more. Its been years since I wore them.

I have a lovely suede pair of black wedge ankle boots but not sure if they would look ok with the dress. They are like these but without the metal bit.

Any suggestions would be fab as i'm normally a frumpy mummy but want to look nice for once!

I don't think so sorry.. The wedge is too casual for the dress.. Can you find shoe boots with a nice heel?

I would but it's not elegant, if that's what you're after, and definitely not with nude tights.

I have these I could wear but worry about looking too dressed up as ive no idea what others will wear. Its only dinner at chimichanga! :)

I think they will look fine, if you wear them with black opaque tights.

Boots with opaque tights. I think that will look good without being too dressy.

The boots if you're going for a casual look. The shoes will make it a bit dressy, IMO. (More like dressing for work, TBH.)
