I'm skint and have had to spend what little money I have for clothes on work stuff.

Recently bought this v flattering work dress here I wear it for work with long boots and a black long sleeved top underneath.

What can I wear it with for a nighttime look? I'm thinking heels and some kind of cropped cardi, but don't know what colour? Black? White?

I hate my arms so won't be wearing it without a cover up of some kind...

I think there is a blazer that goes with it, but I don't want to venture into blazer territory as it feels like workwear again.

That is a lovely dress- I love shift dresses. How about a thin black roll neck under it, 70s style?

moomoo1967 · 21/11/2014 16:31

ooo I love the dress, do you maybe have a blouse or long sleeved top that is sheer ? that you could wear under the dress

eeyoreeeyoreoh · 21/11/2014 16:33

Thank you...I like the idea of a rollneck but in practice I hate having anything tight around my neck. Hadn't thought of a sheer blouse, good idea thanks will have a look for one...

It is a really lovely dress, I don't usually shop in Next but I love this :)

Bright polo neck? Like green or yellow?

Then skin colour tights and ballet pumps.

capsium · 21/11/2014 16:42

Sheer blouse underneath?

StickyProblem · 21/11/2014 17:10

Or bright tights? (I'm old, perhaps tights aren't eveningy)

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 21/11/2014 17:12

The black suede Office Gilly heels would be perfect with it.

Bunbaker · 21/11/2014 17:16

I love that dress. I want one!

eeyoreeeyoreoh · 21/11/2014 17:24

these, Belinda? They're gorgeous. Want.

Bunbaker go for it! I haven't even paid for mine yet, opened a Next account and put it on that Blush

Just to clarify, as I don't have a sheer blouse but do have an extensive cardigan collection, do you think it wouldn't work with a cropped cardi?

Yes, eeyore - I have them and love them. Very Aquazurra for less.

eeyoreeeyoreoh · 21/11/2014 19:07

Now I can't stop looking at shoooooes!

my thought is it would depend on what sort of cardi/bolero and how 'dressy' the do is. Primani may have a cheap sheer top or blouse

eeyoreeeyoreoh · 22/11/2014 20:00

Thanks moomoo - I'm thinking something quite structured or fitted that stops befor the waist..

I think cropped cardigans are very dated.. Are you sure your arms are that bad? Grin

burnishedsilver · 23/11/2014 09:13

Embrace your arms. I bet there's nothing wrong with them. We're all obsessed with our arms lately. You'll look back in 10 years and say 'what was I thinking, I looked great'. You could even try a touch if fake tan.

Red shoes and red lippy. X

Lucy61 · 23/11/2014 09:25

High heeled red shoes, red lippy and a chunky bracelet.

Statement necklace and killer heels
