I'd like to get my 12 year old something that she can use to wave her long straight hair - I remember the curling tongs of yesteryear and how they used to burn your forehead 
I'm sure they've come on a bit since then (about 35 years ago!). CAn anyone recommend something that will be ok to be used by a slightly cack handed 12 year old?
