oh god help me - work xmas night out

I don't do glam, stylish or beautiful and live in jeans at home, and old stuff from Next at work. I need a frock or something for work christmas night out, I have a limited budget - prob up to £50? I am 5'2", size 10 I think but with big tum. No idea any more what might possibly suit me.

I quite like TRUDY or AUDREY but had thought about the cheaply cheerful ASDA but don't know if any would be flattering. I'm 41 & 3/4 and need to be able to wear a normal bra underneath whatever dress I get.

help me please, oh wise ones, before I cancel going out at all.

Do you need to buy shoes too or do already have shoes that you need to work with?

unless I can wear sketchers with it, I'll prob need some shoes, ghave got some old suede strappy things, or heeled knee high boots. would prefer to wear ballet flats really, as would wear them again. I am a fashion disaster.

Do you like a v-neck or round neck?

V neck quite flattering I think, or slash neck type thing. Round neck less good as makes boobs look massive (I think).

thanks nottheOP. quite like the last two, esp the 3rd one(although not sure about the sash thing at the waist, and the netting round the neck,) but the overall shape etc is gorgeous. Last one might look a bit officey? or am i missing something?

nottheOP - the Vesper is very lovely (and it would be nice to look like the Bond girl it's presumably named after), but think the back means no bra?? and yes, i might manage not to fall over in kitten heels! good idea. x

YOu can get one of those converter things if your strap was showing. I'd personally go bra less but I'm not big boobed
