I use Nads (the original one in the green and white container) for armpits and bikini line, but I'm concerned that the cost of it, plus the limited number of strips in the box, might just come to the same as getting it professionally done.

What would you recommend? The pre-loaded strips like Veet/Immac do not work for me, BTW. I may as well use sellotape on my legs. I don't know why as I'm not particularly hairy, nor is my hair very coarse.

Thanks! Smile

The microwaveable veet wax tub has worked well for me. I use it on my legs and bikini line and it does a great job.

Ah, that's the one I used to use on my armpits/bikini before I used the Nads. I just stopped using it because I didn't have to faff around with microwaving the Nads, but I do remember it's easier to spread and you get more coverage. Does it come with enough strips or would I have to get extra?

Get an epilator!

They make me feel like I'm being stung by bees yet leave me completely hairy.

The Veet hot wax thingy is awesome. A little plug in heater that warms the wax to the right temp then you roll it in and whisk it off. Have used mine for years. Refills aren't expensive either.

ElphabaTheGreen · 20/11/2014 15:06

Is that this one Snot? Or is there a cheaper one?

Oh, no. I guess you mean this one. That's a bit more reasonable.

Yes that's it (the second one) you get your money back 100 times over if you usually pay for a salon to do it I now only get it done at the salon once a year (pre summer holiday) and use the Vert the rest of the year.

ElphabaTheGreen · 20/11/2014 18:42

Does it come with enough strips or do you find you have to buy more?

More than enough strips per refill . Each new wax cartridge comes with about 12 strips which is ample. I can do a half leg with 2 x strips.

LadyLuck10 · 20/11/2014 22:55

I also love the veet wax. I bought the strips on amazon about £9 for a 100 strips.

ElphabaTheGreen · 21/11/2014 08:04

Fab - ordered. Thanks guys. I got 100 extra strips for £2 so that should hopefully do me. Smile

maybe you should try make your own sugar paste to wax your legs? It's so easy to prepare and it's really cheap...sugar+water+lemon juice

aylesburyduck · 21/11/2014 17:41

stardust girl do you have a recipe? I got a bit baffled by Google!!
